How does the knob being weighted create barrel speed you may ask.  It is simple physics.  For something to rotate faster the opposite end must turn faster.

The added weight in the knob allows the hitter to “feel” the turn of the knob without it “pushing to the ball”, as well as staying tighter to the shoulder allowing the hitter to feel the knob turn above and behind the shoulder.

Sabre Bat Barrel

Unlike other Heavy Knob Training Bats, with a Sabre Bat you hit on the curved surface instead of the flat surface just like you would in a real game.

The SABRE Barrel is the only modified baseball training bat that is handmade exactly as the game bat. The same length, the same game weight, and the same feel as a game bat.

The modified difference is only in the size of the hitting surface. The baseball bat barrel dimensions are 2.25” to 2.625”. The hitting surface of the barrel is 1.80” to 1.65”.
